The work of a J'AKE collection often follows conceptual narratives that uses clothing as form of visual communication. This is effective through the use of layering contrasting fabrics with a minimal colour palette. A signature J’AKE aesthetic breathes life into a cohesive group of collections that are trans seasonal and generationally integrated.

Being a Māori designer, knowing our tīkanga plays an important role in the influence of a J'AKE collection. Our garments reflect a story and is connected to Te Ao Māori.
